All CAHP Professional members fulfil the following three criteria:
- A post graduate degree and three (3) years relevant heritage work
experience.
- An undergraduate degree and five (5) years relevant heritage work
experience.
The degree mentioned in items 1. and 2. above and in a field allied to
the planning, preservation, wise use and/or better understanding of heritage
resources such as:
- Architecture;
- Planning;
- Archaeology/Anthropology;
- Social Sciences (History, Geography);
- Museum Studies;
- Archival Science.
- Demonstrated experience in heritage conservation gained through seven
years of employment in heritage conservation and currently employed in that
field.
- Abide by CAHP's Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics.
Canadian experience pre-requisite: approximately one-third of a Professional members'
experience is Canadian or their academic degree conferred from a Canadian
institution.
