PROFESSIONAL APPLICATION CHECKLIST

All of the information below is necessary to apply for professional membership. Please review the requirements by visiting the 'categories and fees' link.

  1. A completed application form

  2. Curriculum vitae

  3. Heritage project list describing your role and involvement in detail. Include dates and names and descriptions of heritage projects.

  4. 70-90 word description of your current expertise and heritage focus.

  5. Signed letter of agreement from your sponsor to support your application.

  6. Dated, signed CAHP Code of Ethics Agreement

  7. Non-refundable application cheque in the amount of $75 payable to 'CAHP'. Do not send annual membership cheque until notified of approval.

Please note that all membership applications will require sponsorship by a Professional member of CAHP. A Professional member of CAHP may sponsor any application, including that of an employee. The 3 references requested on the application form should not include your sponsor as one of three references. In the case where an applicant does not have a sponsor, the office may assist in arranging for a sponsor.

Once your application has been received you will be acknowledged by email. Applications are first reviewed by the administrator to assess if any information is missing. Once your submission is complete, it will be added to the queue of application submissions to be reviewed by the Membership Committee. The queue is determined by date received. The Membership Committee meets every six weeks. Approximately 8 submissions are assessed per cycle. Please contact the administrative office if you have any questions.

PROFESSIONAL APPLICATION PROCEDURES

  1. Consolidate items 1 to 4 in checklist into 1 pdf file and send to admin@cahp-acecp.ca. Submissions must be in digital form.

  2. Send items 5, 6 and 7, your application cheque, sponsor letter and signed Code of Ethics Agreement by mail to the office address below.

Note: Digital scans of sponsor letter and Code of Ethics Agreement are also acceptable and can be consolidated with items 1 to 4.

Please note once your application has been received, you will receive an email repy acknowledging receipt from the office.
